The reason why I made so many folders is that when I made the group, I wanted it to be future-proofed and laid back, so that it would require as little activity and moderation from me as possible. I want it to be a group that someone can always come back to whenever they feel like, and that they don't have to stay current with everything or try to keep things active constantly or get overwhelmed. Say I get very motivated during one or two years and I stay on top of keeping folders organized and tight while adding more fanart to the gallery, but maybe the next few years I lose motivation and just stop checking the group altogether, or God forbid I pass away or lose my internet access suddenly before I can hand the keys off to someone else.

Normally with most groups you would just add one or two extra folders just in case, and then carefully moderate and organize all the fanart so it's nice and compact. But I'm trying to think 2, 3, even 4 or more decades from now where there might be another Perfect Dark game or Reboot from Rare or Microsoft or whatever company gets the rights to the franchise, and I want to make sure there's enough space for fanart at that time even if I'm not around. Right now everything is slow, but we don't know when another PD game might show up and I also don't know if I'll still be around keeping tabs on everything since life can get busy.

I don't want it to be like other groups where they try to keep things active for maybe 4 or 5 years, and then everyone loses motivation to keep things going and then you never hear from them when the folders get full. So then their group is essentially dead since no more new fanart can be added, or maybe new users don't have permission to upload anything because it needs to be checked and filtered by one of the admins. There was another Perfect Dark group before this one and I wasn't able to make contact with the admins because they no longer updated or checked in. In fact I also had this problem with the Quest 64 group where I couldn't share my fanart with them because only the admins could approve it, and none of them had checked back with the group in years.

To be honest, sometimes I get worried there might not be enough extra folders. We don't know if Rare might do a reboot and it could be so good it becomes the next Halo or Call of Duty and then we get an overwhelming burst of fanart. As of right now, you are consistently the most active member in this group. But would you be able to keep checking back in say 10 or 20 more years to make sure we still have space for people to add more fanart? I've asked other members if they wanted to become admins and no one else wants to, so basically you would be doing most of the work. I don't want to pressure you or anyone else with this so that's why I decided to set it up this way. It probably sounds a little ridiculous and too far-fetched but this is the kind of stuff I'm worried about. I don't want it to get to the point where we give ownership of the group to someone else, then they change things for the better and stay active for a while, but then get bored after a few years, and then the folders get full and no one can contact them or make changes. So adding lots of extra folders the way it is now helps with this. It's a bit messy and bloated for such a slow and small group, but I'd rather have more space than not enough of it.

In an ideal world, I'd agree with you on cutting down the folders, but I feel like this would just make life easier for everyone even if it looks a little unprofessional and disorganized. I hope that makes sense. Sorry for the long essay lol.
